The next year, covered Decorah football on _ _ _ _ in Decorah. The following summer, the KDEC sports director left right before the baseball and softball playoffs. Desperate for anybody, the Holtan’s hired this Svenson kid. I broadcast Decorah sports continuously until the football season in 1999. Then I got a full time radio gig at KLMJ radio in Hampton. After six months there, I got out for good behavior. A month later, KDEC’s news director left. Again, Holtan’s desperate for anybody. I get hired. Been here ever since.
