Bob is originally from Southern Minnesota, but was fortunate enough to become a Hawkeye...twice! He began his radio career in Manistique, Michigan and spent 2 years as a Yooper. Also worked at WBCK in Battle Creek before becoming a Program Director at Country Music powerhouse WAXX in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. 19 years and 3 kids later, he became a manager and owner, and moved the family to Marshalltown, Iowa. He then moved on to KVOX in Fargo-Moorhead. In 1996, he and his wife, Colleen, returned to Iowa and beautiful Decorah when they purchased KDEC AM/FM. He feels fortunate to live in one of America's prettiest towns, and being able to enjoy life, friends and family and the Mississippi River. His father, Howard, once related a great quote: "Do something you love and you'll never have to WORK a day in your life!" He says he enjoys not working nearly every day.
